Mosquito Authority of Southwest Louisiana is a local family-owned and operated franchise, proudly serving the Lake Charles area and surrounding communities since 2011. We help families and businesses reclaim their outdoor spaces with professional mosquito, tick, and outdoor pest control services. The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee our field operations. 

This is a full-time position based in our Lake Charles, Louisiana territory. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed, requiring flexible work hours from day to day.


Compensation & Benefits

$20–$25 per hour plus bonuses. Hourly wage position with the opportunity to earn a minimum of 40 hours per week guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Leadership

•       Continuously communicate with administrative staff and owners all concerns of daily operations
•       Conduct morning crew meetings
•       Assign vehicles and equipment to Technicians
•       Monitor technician start times, address tardiness or absences, and coordinate with Dispatch
•       Handle immediate vehicle or equipment issues for Technicians in the field
•       Ensure trucks and equipment are kept clean, organized, and ready for service
•       Maintain the shop and outdoor property in clean, orderly condition

Supervision, Training & Performance

•       Train, coach, and counsel Technicians, and when needed recommend disciplinary actions to Upper Management
•       Provide new-hire shop orientation and full-day training for new Technicians
•       Perform daily/weekly technician audits
•       Review audit results privately with each technician and coach on efficiency
•       Support hiring and firing decisions for Technicians (in coordination with ownership)

Equipment, Inventory & Compliance

•       Coordinate repairs and maintenance for vehicles, equipment, and the shop
•       Set up new trucks (tools, chemicals, tank, pump, GPS, wrap, etc.)
•       Perform weekly inventory and maintain shop supplies
•       Ensure vehicles have current insurance cards, registrations, license plates, and inspection stickers
•       Enforce internal, local, state, and federal regulatory compliance

Technical Support & Customer Care

•       Troubleshoot and assist with Misting Systems (MS) and LIV system installs, maintenance, and repairs
•       Assess difficult or unusual properties and make customer visits when needed (service issues, damage claims, etc.)
•       Support new-customer acquisition and participate in trade shows or promotional events as needed
•       Other tasks as needed/required by Upper Management/Owners

Qualifications

Required:

•       Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience in a service company
•       Valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record
•       Ability to work in heat and other outdoor elements
•       Able to carry up to 60 pounds.

•       Strong problem-solving skills using logical and analytical thinking
•       Strong leadership and communication skills
•       Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting  equipment
•       Reliable, organized, and safety-minded
•       Louisiana pesticide applicator license (not required)





        



Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per week
